Previously, Google announced that Google accounts and Gmail accounts that have been inactive for two years will be deleted, but the actual situation is that many accounts that have been inactive for less than two years or even less than a year have also been deleted, as shown in the figure below.

After logging in to the Google account, the page prompts: This account has been deleted recently, but it may be restored. To try to restore this account, please click Next.

In most cases, even if you follow the prompts to proceed to the next step of appeal recovery, it may be in vain. Because the abuse and risk control of Google accounts have reached the most sensitive state in early 2023, whether it is an old Google account (gmail) registered for 1-3 years or an account registered for a few days, it is very easy to be blocked. If the account is not blocked in time, the consequence is that the account will be deleted.
