How to avoid registering the wrong country and region when registering a Google developer account, and want to register for Google Play in China but become the United States

Especially after the latest policy (shared payment information), in the Google developer registration process, for example: the Chinese account that was clearly selected to register, and the final payment of 25 US dollars was ready to verify the identity, but it became a Singapore or Hong Kong account. How is this going? How to avoid the problem that the registration country is inexplicably inconsistent with the one you choose?

According to the latest registration process above, the wrong country and region were finally registered, resulting in the inability to provide identity information for verification.

How to avoid encountering this problem, what is the reason?

We are registering a new Google developer account, and at the [Complete Purchase] step, add a credit card or debit card (foreign currency card) as shown below

If you want to register a Chinese account, then the country and region shown in the figure below should choose China;

To register in Hong Kong, select Hong Kong manually. The same is true for other countries and regions. At the same time, the payment information address of the corresponding country must be improved.

In one case, the country and region information is obviously set correctly in the above step, for example, the setting is to register a Hong Kong account, but the account is changed to a US account. The developer payment profile is also US information for only one reason.

You already have a US payment profile (check it at pay.google.com), such as admob account, gcp account, ads account, etc. When google play is registered, it will be consistent with the existing payment information by default.

In this case, it is best to re-register a brand new gmail account, re-register everything, and do not mix them.

If you encounter this situation and registered a developer from the wrong country, please do not use virtual information to verify your identity. It is best to apply for closing the developer account and refund $25. In this case, you can apply to close the refund, and communicate with Google truthfully to explain the reason.
